Overview

Business Development Manager (Government Contracting)

Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify DoD business opportunities, and lead the development of a qualified pipeline to meet or exceed company forecasts and plans.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Proposal personnel to transition to, and assist with, successful proposal development efforts as needed.
  • Plan and recommend business development and growth strategies to maximize customer and market penetration and drive tactical and strategic growth.
Required Skills
  • Experience focused on S&T customer organizations, e.g., AFRL, DARPA, CCDC, OSD, US Space Force, etc.
  • Proven track record of successful business development across a variety of DoD acquisition sizes.
  • Demonstrated access to key customers and industry partners.
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant BD activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferred in related technical field
  • Years of Experience: 7+ years in a Business Development position or operational position heavily involved in BD for wide array of DoD customer organizations.
  • Security Clearance Required: Secret
