PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Energy Segment Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability within the energy sector

(including oil & gas, power , and renewable energy) by leveraging technical expertise, strategic

account management, and market insight. This role combines solution-based selling, customer relationship

management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and align

with company objectives. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market

planning, and technical development of products and services. This is a remote position requiring travel.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Develop and Maintain Strategic Relationships with Key Energy Segment which includes customers in clean energy and traditional energy.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy segment.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Customize solutions based on customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive service and support.

Strategic Planning & Market Development

  • Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive landscape to update strategy and management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to align offerings with customer and market needs.
  • Prepare and execute account strategies, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and seminars to promote brand visibility.
  • Lead internal coordination to ensure timely delivery and resolution of customer issues.
  • Contribute to product planning, marketing strategies, and business development initiatives.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM systems and prepare regular business reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying workflow and system enhancements.
  • Maintain healthy pipeline to meet annual budget goals.

Internal collaboration

  • Work closely with sales management and team, Engineering, customer service, and production teams to provide the best solution or service to the customer.
  • Support cross functional initiatives and contribute to continuous improvements efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within energy or related industrial markets.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to engage technical and commercial audiences.
  • Working knowledge of thermal insulation products, energy infrastructure, or process engineering .
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time (domestic and occasional international).
  • A non-compromising attitude to operating safely in the plant for the health and welfare of all associates.
  • Must have initiative, leadership abilities, negotiation and sales as well as planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of all products in the assigned product lines, their applications and the knowledge of competitive products and their pricing, including knowledge of industrial and commercial product engineering standards and practices.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports directly to the Sales Manager.
  • Regular contact with Quality, Production, Customer Service and Human Resources Department.
  • Liaises with Sint-Niklaas - Belgium and Global Sales and Application Team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. Requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods

throughout the day with occasional climbing of stairs and ladders to access manufacturing work areas. Reaching above

shoulder heights or below the waist. Lifting of 50 pounds or more. Proper lifting techniques required. Travel

may be required (U.S. and International).

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Energy, or related field) or Business with Technical Experience

within the Energy Market. 3+ years in technical sales or account management with proven track record of managing

key accounts and driving revenue growth
