A leading solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Northeast territory. This remote role requires 3+ years of business development experience selling tangible products. Attractive compensation includes a $70K base salary and uncapped commission potential up to $100K in the first year, along with travel and health benefits.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth within assigned territory. This is a "Hunter" role with emphasis on business expansion— acquiring new customers and increasing sales of existing accounts.
Candidates must have experience selling physical, tangible products ***Software, Insurance, Finance Management, Services Sales, etc. backgrounds will not be considered***
Required:
3+ years of experience in new Business Development
Must physically live within assigned territory
Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, driven & self-motivated
Strong relationship builder
Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems (SharePoint preferred)
Ability to travel 50% of the time within assigned territory
Responsibilities:
Execute a disciplined business development strategy aligned with company goals, with full ownership from prospecting through close and post-sale follow-up.
Leverage a mix of field visits and strategic phone outreach to drive sales growth, prioritize high-value opportunities, and optimize territory coverage.
Utilize deep product expertise to deliver impactful in in-person presentations
Develop tailored sales presentations and proposals that clearly communicate product value and differentiation.
Maintain a sharp focus on profitability by effectively managing pricing and margin strategies to ensure sustainable customer growth
Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, evaluate performance, and uncover growth opportunities within the territory
Represent the company at regional and national trade shows as needed to increase visibility and drive new business.
Negotiate and close deals with a focus on creating mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term account value.
Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Training, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and professional customer experience.
