Job Summary

Business Development Manager for the New England region. The role requires familiarity with current immunoassay platforms and the ability to convincingly articulate the benefits of the Quanterix portfolio of products. The ideal candidate is a highly technical, scientific sales professional who is passionate about finding new customers, building relationships, maintaining and expanding business within current accounts, and wishes to grow Quanterix business.

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for all aspects of selling Quanterix products and laboratory services into Research-Use-Only (RUO) segments including academia, government, and biopharmaceutical accounts
  • Establish and maintain relationships in the target markets specifically in Research & Development, Clinical and Pre-Clinical Drug Development, and Translational Medicine
  • Find new opportunities, nurture existing opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline, and execute on it
  • Collaborate with marketing, applications, technical support, field service, laboratory services, and all internal departments
  • Provide accurate forecasting to leadership and deliver against targets
Basic Qualifications
  • BS or BA from an accredited institution with a major in biology or chemistry
  • 6‑8 years of sales experience in life science research tools, analytical instrumentation, consumables and/or laboratory services sales
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS degree with 4 years of experience in life science research tools, analytical instrumentation, consumables and/or laboratory services sales OR PhD with 1 year of experience in life science research tools, analytical instrumentation, consumables and/or laboratory services sales
  • Established relationships within the territory in desired markets
  • Demonstrated successful sales track record of consistently achieving and often exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Experience selling scientific instrumentation, consumables and laboratory services
  • Experience selling novel, ground-breaking, disruptive technologies
  • Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management system (preferably Salesforce), expense reporting system, Microsoft Office Tools
  • Current familiarity utilizing internet/social media tools for researching potential leads/prospects

  • Must reside in or be able to relocate to the New England area
  • Ability/Desire to travel 50%+ of the time within the designated territory and occasionally for company meetings
  • Strong communicator

  • No heavy lifting required; standard office and virtual/remote work environment
