Job summary

Petra Automotive Products develops and manufactures automotive chemicals and service programs for franchised dealer groups, OEMs, and aftermarket partners across the world. We are growing and seek a driven Business Development Manager to lead growth within a defined territory.

You’ll own new business acquisition and account growth with dealer principals and service managers, driving revenue through Petra service programs and strong relationship building. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations (service, parts, F&I a plus).
  • Experience selling automotive chemicals, fluids, or service programs strongly preferred.
  • Confident presenting to dealer principals and executive decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a territory independently.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Grow existing accounts through training, performance reviews, and program expansion.

  • Represent Petra at industry events, trade shows, and OEM meetings.
  • Share market and competitive intelligence to help shape product and program strategy.

Petra Automotive Products develops and manufactures automotive chemicals and service programs for franchised dealer groups, OEMs, and aftermarket partners across the world. For years, we've helped dealerships grow fixed operations revenue with products and programs that advisors and technicians trust and customers value. We're growing, and we're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help lead that growth.

The Role

You’ll own new business acquisition and account growth within your territory, building relationships with dealer principals, fixed ops directors, service managers, and distribution partners. This is a hunter-first role for someone who knows the dealership world, understands how service departments make money, and can turn a conversation into a long-term relationship.
