Job summary

Artisan Design Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to oversee both sales and project management in the Southeast (NC/GA/FL). The role blends coordinating resources with driving sales and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive and focused on achieving sales targets. Responsibilities include negotiating labor, coordinating meetings, procurement, payroll, bid management, and ongoing sales support.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficient with Pro Core and Construct Connect software platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 25% for project oversight.
  • Excellent Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate labor rates within budget with DOO approval.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings with Field Manager, Installer, and Superintendent.
  • Attend safety meetings and ensure safety standards compliance.
  • Maintain material procurement log and approve purchase orders.
  • Create and distribute work orders and manage installer payroll.
  • Communicate project status to team and clients.
  • Prepare and document change orders and project closeout.
  • Build client relationships and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Review bids and proposals with clients to capture project scope.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to oversee and manage both sales and project management functions within our organization in the Southeast (NC/GA/FL). This role combines the responsibilities of project management, including coordinating resources and communicating with stakeholders, while also driving sales efforts and fostering client relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management Responsibilities
  • Labor Contracts: Negotiate labor rates within budget, Director of Operations (DOO) approval required
  • Pre-construction Meetings: Schedule and coordinate pre-construction meetings with Field Manager, Installer, and Superintendent to review Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Safety Meetings: Attend and contribute to safety meetings to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Material Procurement: Work in tandem with an Assistant Project Manager to maintain a material procurement log. Approve purchase orders for all materials required for the project. Regularly review inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.
  • Work Orders: Create and distribute work orders for installers, ensuring they have the necessary diagrams and installation instructions.
  • Installer Payroll: Prepare weekly payroll for installers, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Job Status Communication: Keep team members and customers informed of project status, including any delays due to jobsite issues or material lead times.
  • Change Orders: Prepare and document any changes to the original project scope, ensuring clear communication and approvals.
  • Project Closeout: Gather all required closeout documents, including attic stock (if applicable), and provide them to customers upon project completion.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Sales Development: Actively engage with potential clients to generate new sales opportunities and expand the company's project portfolio.
  • Bid and Proposal Management: Review and submit accurate bids and proposals, working closely with clients to ensure all aspects of the project are captured.
  • Project Lifecycle Sales Support: Provide ongoing sales support during the life cycle of the project, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any sales-related concerns that may arise.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Pro Core and Construct Connect software platforms.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with both internal teams and clients.
  • Travel: Ability to travel regionally up to 25% of the time as needed for project oversight or client meetings.
  • Mathematical Ability: Regular use of math for conversions and determining pallet quantities, carton quantities, and ordering requirements.
  • Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and make decisions quickly.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
