Business Development Manager – Custom Software Development & Staff Augmentation

Location: West Coast | Remote-First with Optional Office Access

The Role: Business Development Manager

In this full-cycle sales role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, helping CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and other tech leaders scale their development teams through high-quality staff augmentation services.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities with a focus on staff augmentation and custom software solutions
  • Leading discovery calls to understand clients’ technical roadmaps and resourcing challenges
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process — from outreach and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Building trusted relationships with senior engineering decision-makers at fast-scaling tech companies and enterprises
  • Collaborating with Marketing to develop lead generation and outreach campaigns
  • Crafting tailored proposals and leading commercial conversations

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of success in business development, SaaS/tech sales, or technical recruitment (particularly in staff augmentation, RPO, or consulting models)
  • Familiarity with engineering team structures, the software development lifecycle, and common tech stacks
  • Confident in selling to CTOs, Engineering Directors, and product-focused stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a long-term, consultative sales mindset
