Otter Products is currently recruiting for a Business Development Lead – Bio Cold Chain Packaging to join our Liviri team. This role can be based remotely in the U.S. and requires travel (up to 50%) to client locations as needed.

As the Business Development Lead– Bio Cold Chain Packaging, you will be responsible for all aspects of sales and business development activities for global cold chain consumer packaging goods used in medical devices, biotech, and pharmaceutical applications. Utilizing consultative “solutions selling” techniques, you will develop unique solutions to meet your customers’ specific product or container needs by representing the company at events and trade shows and traveling to customer sites as often as necessary. You will have the opportunity to drive innovation in the cold chain consumer packaging environment by communicating customers' needs to the organization and through good management, assist in turning those requirements into profits.

Liviri is a rapidly growing company based in Fort Collins, Co. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of pharmaceutical and food products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold chain, such as Styrofoam coolers.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, pipeline build, acquire, and maintain accounts and document all business development and sales activities in Salesforce
  • Maintain an ongoing sales mindset for all prospects to identify opportunity and lead end-to-end activities to drive adoption of Liviri Products
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with client business leads and key decision makers at assigned existing customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers
  • Guide the internal team to build cadenced engagements with cross-functional stakeholders to drive progress and keep up sales and business development momentum with target customers
  • Provide on-going strategic insights and continually identify future value-added solutions based on the changing market dynamics and industry trends
  • Identify opportunities and challenges to integrate Liviri products with target customers’ operations and work with stakeholders to develop a solution
  • Develop and effectively present compelling customer value propositions and link solutions to the customer strategy and requirements
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for the cold-chain industry, continuously expanding your knowledge and understanding of changing market conditions and new product offerings
  • Collaborate across the company, leveraging cold-chain knowledge, tools, and other resources to drive Liviri value into the marketplace
  • Own all customer onboarding activities associated with product evaluations and rollout
  • Provide support, including on-site, during Liviri product evaluation and rollout phases to answer questions and provide troubleshooting steps to resolve issues as necessary.
  • Immerse yourself in your customer’s business to drive user adoption of Liviri products and actively identify additional use cases.
  • Drive issue resolution both internally and externally to remove barriers that prevent user adoption of Liviri products.
  • Monitor Liviri product usage, issues, and customer feedback and report to stakeholders.
  • Assist as needed with problem solving and customer relationship management.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considereed.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience required
  • Previous biopharma cold chain experience is required
  • Passive cooling packaging or technical sales experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50% required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • General knowledge and experience requirements:
    • Temperature validation of containers on bio trucking partnerships
    • Data logging, return logistics
    • Shipping site and receiving site capabilities
    • Technical packaging configuration including minimum and maximum loads of containers for varying payloads
    • Thermal performance requirements for transportation duration
    • Target customer packaging qualification processo Product/payload stability and excursion tolerances and/or temperature shipping acceptable ranges
    • Time to Transport, lanes tested, critical failure rates, and patient impact
    • Lane risk assessment and lane disruption and acceptable tolerance ranges as well as probability of occurrence and probability of detection
