RecruitMyMom is seeking a remote Community Lead in the gaming sector to drive active Discord engagement, onboarding, and content creation. You will cultivate relationships with developers and technical artists, produce engaging tutorials, and manage a structured content calendar.

You will report to the CEO, collaborate with strategic advisors, and focus on turning engagement into measurable business outcomes through community-building and subscription growth.

Qualifications

• Passion for gaming and avatar creation, plus active gaming community involvement.
• Understanding of avatar creation for games (modelling/rigging/texturing/engine integration).
• Strong written English and clear technical communication with artists and developers.

Responsibilities

• Build, structure, and maintain a Discord community within the gaming industry.
• Onboard trial and VIP users and respond to community showcase posts within 24 hours.
• Represent the organisation at digital and in-person gaming events to build relationships with developers and technical artists.
• Produce engagement content including short video tutorials, quickstart clips, prompts, and showcase highlights.
• Author and schedule weekly social media content, including launches, spotlights, demos and event invites.
• Maintain a structured content calendar for consistent video and post publishing.
• Convert engagement into public proof points: case studies, testimonials, and feedback loops.
• Prospect, qualify, and convert users to monthly subscriptions across channels.
• Identify opportunities and book qualified meetings for sales discussions.

Job description

This is a remote position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about gaming and is actively involved in the gaming community who can act as an influencer to build community engagement. Experience in building a community on Discord, 3D character creation and gaming pipeline understanding is what is required. Operating across online gaming communities, social channels, and industry events, the position will ensure continuous user interaction while converting user engagement into measurable business outcomes through community building. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborating with strategic advisors, the role maintains an integrated loop between community activity and potential sales progression. The role is the primary engine driving new lead generation within the gaming development community. The role focuses on building active developer relationships, driving subscription adoption, and qualifying prospective studios for engagement. Working to a structured weekly operating rhythm, this position operates with end-to-end ownership over community health, content scheduling and lead generation.

• Maintain a structured content calendar to ensure a consistent publishing output of videos and public posts.
• Convert community engagement into public proof points, including case studies, user testimonials, and feedback loops.
• Prospect, qualify, and convert users to monthly subscriptions across community and social media channels.
• Identify opportunities, booking qualified meetings for sales discussions.
• Execute structured outreach sequences, manage lead qualification, and maintain accurate pipeline data within the CRM.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for gaming and in particular avatar creation, and active engagement with gaming culture.
• Practical understanding of avatar character creation for games, including modelling, rigging, texturing, variation costs, and engine integration (Unreal Engine or Unity).
• Strong technical communication skills to converse effectively with technical artists and studio developers.
• Written English fluency with an ability to communicate clearly and promptly.
• Proven self-starter capability with a track record of owning operational outcomes in small team environments.
• Highly organised approach to tracking conversations and managing follow-ups independently.

Desirable Requirements

• Hands-on experience using Claude (or other LLM tools) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
• Sales experience across outreach or lead qualification.
• Experience building or managing online communities (such as Discord, Reddit, or developer forums).
