Job summary

FEDITC, LLC is seeking a Business Development & Inside Sales Lead / Alternate Program Manager in Indianapolis to advance the defense growth strategy while supporting DFAS and other corporate efforts. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and working with leadership, operations, recruiting, and technical teams to convert opportunities into awards.

An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required, and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Eight+ years of experience supporting IT, cybersecurity, or federal contracting programs.
  • Experience with DoD/DFAS or similar federal agencies is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for senior government officials.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, qualify, and track DoD/DFAS opportunities.
  • Conduct inside-sales outreach; schedule meetings; build account intelligence; support relationships.
  • Maintain opportunity, pipeline, contact, and activity data in approved systems.
  • Support capture planning, win themes, solution development, proposal preparation, staffing strategy, pricing inputs, and customer presentations.
  • Work with leadership and delivery teams to identify growth opportunities within DFAS and across other accounts.
  • Coordinate with operations, recruiting, finance, contracts, and technical SMEs to ensure pursuits are staffed and aligned.
  • Support customer satisfaction, account growth, cross-selling on active programs.
  • Serve as Alternate PM when the Primary PM is unavailable.
  • Provide continuity of leadership and reporting during Alternate PM coverage.
  • Assist with maintaining project-management artifacts: PM Plan, communications, HR, QC, risk, WBS, schedules, and reports.
  • Support cost, schedule, performance analyses and business cases for DFAS IT infrastructure efforts.
  • Be available for Alternate PM coverage 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET, Mon–Fri, and on-call as required.

Job description

Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Business Development & Inside Sales Lead / Alternate Program Manager to work in Indianapolis In to advance FEDITC's defense growth strategy while supporting DFAS and other corporate efforts. The successful candidate will identify, qualify, shape, and pursue Department of War and defense-sector opportunities; build and maintain customer and partner relationships; conduct inside-sales activities; and work closely with FEDITC leadership, operations, recruiting, and technical teams to convert opportunities into successful contract awards.


The individual will also serve as the designated Alternate Program Manager for DFAS contract support. Alternate Program Manager responsibilities are expected to require approximately 60 hours per year and will be performed as needed to support the Primary Program Manager and ensure uninterrupted contract leadership.


A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret/ SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.


Responsibilities


  • Identify, research, qualify, and track Department of War, DFAS, defense agency, and adjacent federal IT and cybersecurity opportunities.

  • Conduct inside-sales outreach; maintain customer engagement; schedule meetings; develop account intelligence; and support relationships with customers, partners, and subcontractors.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, contact, and activity information in FEDITC-approved business development systems.

  • Support capture planning, win themes, solution development, proposal preparation, staffing strategy, pricing inputs, and customer presentations.

  • Work with FEDITC corporate leadership and delivery teams to identify growth opportunities within DFAS and across other Department of War and federal accounts.

  • Coordinate with operations, recruiting, finance, contracts, and technical subject matter experts to ensure pursuits are executable, properly staffed, and aligned with FEDITC capabilities.

  • Support customer satisfaction, account growth, follow-on work, and cross-selling initiatives for active programs.

  • Serve as the designated Alternate Program Manager when the Primary Program Manager is unavailable.

  • Provide continuity of leadership, customer communication, financial reporting, quality assurance, and contract performance oversight during Alternate PM coverage.

  • Assist with maintaining project-management artifacts, including the Project Management Plan, communications plan, human resources plan, quality control plan, risk management plan, work breakdown structure, schedules, and performance reporting.

  • Support analysis of cost, schedule, performance, risks, configuration alternatives, and business cases for DFAS IT infrastructure efforts.

  • Be available for Alternate PM coverage between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, and on-call as required by the DFAS contract.


Qualifications/Experience


  • At least eight years of relevant experience supporting complex IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, program management, business development, capture, or federal contracting efforts.

  • Experience supporting initiatives similar in size, scope, and complexity within the Department of War or another U.S. Government agency.

  • Demonstrated defense-sector business development, inside sales, account management, capture, or proposal-development experience.

  • Strong understanding of federal contracting, opportunity qualification, capture lifecycle, proposal development, and customer relationship management.

  • Experience with project planning and scheduling, work breakdown structures, risk management, quality control, financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and business-case development.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior Government officials and corporate leadership.

  • Experience coordinating diverse teams, resolving issues, managing priorities, and working across technical and business functions.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting DFAS, Department of War financial management, enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or managed-services programs.

  • Existing relationships within the Department of War, defense agencies, systems integrators, or relevant small-business partners.

  • Experience using CRM, pipeline-management, and proposal/capture tools.

  • Experience with Total Cost of Ownership analyses, IT infrastructure business cases, and financial reporting.


Certifications


  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

  • Current Project+ or CAPM and Security+ certifications, or Government-approved equivalent qualifications, to meet the contract's DoD 8140 Information Technology Project Manager - Basic requirement.


Clearance


  • Active Top Secret/ SCI Security Clearance is required.

  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.

  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
