Job Summary
The Business Development Executive will target prospect companies through direct outreach, brokers, and consultants to drive new absence sales. This role is integral to the growth of the absence product set and will work closely with cross‑functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an aggressive lead and RFP generation strategy.
- Strategically manage the sales process: RFP responses, contract negotiations, and deal closings.
- Lead presentations, finalist meetings, and deliver follow‑up.
- Understand customer needs and align HR & employee‑experience solutions with the AbsenceResources value proposition in a consultative manner.
- Collaborate with operations, implementation, and service teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Build relationships with direct prospects, brokers, consultants, and distribution partners to expand market opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of the competitive landscape, including technology solutions, HRIS, payroll, time & attendance, and benefit administration vendors.
- Track pipeline and report on sales processes.
- Partner with ComPsych business leaders to leverage reputation and relationships for growth.
- Help account‑management team renew customers.
- Travel as needed to key partners, customers, and finalist meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years selling or servicing absence administration customers with deep knowledge of absence needs, marketplace, and key consultative brokers.
- Established list of key HR/benefit consultant contacts.
- Consistently exceeded goals in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage a complex sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills for forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent oral and written communication; experience presenting to senior executives.
- Self‑starter, goal‑oriented, with attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Bachelor’s degree required; stable work history required.
