Business Development Director – Pharma Safety & PV Technology

Title: Business Development Director – Pharma Safety & PV Technology

Location: Europe Remote | Full-Time

We’re seeking a growth-focused Business Development Director to lead new client acquisition and strategic account expansion in the pharmacovigilance (PV) and drug safety technology space.

This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of PV processes who thrives on building partnerships and promoting tech-driven solutions such as automated case processing, signal detection platforms, literature surveillance tools, and compliance-ready safety databases.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business development across pharma and biotech markets
  • Promote PV Technology & technology-led PV services
  • Build and manage strong relationships with PV, safety, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Work with internal experts (sales, delivery, regulatory) to craft compelling value propositions
  • Identify growth opportunities, upsell capabilities, and meet revenue targets

Examples of PV Technology & technology-led PV services include:

  • AI-enabled ICSR intake & triage
  • Signal detection & risk management platforms
  • Global literature screening systems
  • Aggregate reporting automation
  • PSMF and QPPV support tools

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in business development or sales in pharma services or PV technology
  • Proven ability to open doors, close deals, and build long-term client value
  • Understanding of pharmacovigilance workflows, safety system integration, and regulatory frameworks (GVP, ICH E2B, FDA, EMA)
  • Experience selling or positioning SaaS or service-enabled safety solutions
  • Background in biosciences or a related life sciences field preferred
