We are looking for a Business Development Director to join our Risk Advisory group. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Own the full sales cycle—from outreach and qualification to proposal and close—for new client acquisition.
  • Target C-suite executives (primarily CEOs and CFOs) at midmarket companies ($10M–$250M in revenue).
  • Position our full suite of services, including audit, tax, valuation, advisory and digital solutions.
  • Leverage internal experts and collaborate closely with service line leaders to create high-impact proposals.
  • Engage with external centers of influence (e.g., bankers, attorneys, consultants) to generate warm referrals.
  • Represent Citrin Cooperman at strategic events, webinars, and networking functions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Dynamics CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal sales colleagues to continuously improve and elevate our sales strategy.
  • Over 10 years of senior-level success in B2B consultative sales, ideally in professional services such as accounting, consulting, ERP, advisory.
  • Proven track record as a hunter with a strong personal network and experience selling to the C-suite.
  • Recognized as a trusted advisor with the ability to identify client pain points, craft compelling value propositions, and successfully close complex deals.
  • Highly motivated by achievement, commissions, and opportunities to expand influence within a respected and established brand.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented professional who excels in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience negotiating proposals and closing high-value engagements in the midmarket.
  • Strong relationships in the Tri-State area with the ability to activate a referral network.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support relationship-building and deal execution.
