Business Development Director – Las Vegas, Nevada (Full‑time)

General Purpose

Proactively identifies, develops, and secures new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic growth objectives. Serves as a market‑facing growth leader focused on opening doors, building relationships, uncovering project opportunities, and positioning the company early in the decision‑making process. Acts as a bridge between market opportunity and operational execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue strategic customers, markets, and project opportunities.
  • Research market trends, upcoming developments, construction pipelines, and industry opportunities.
  • Build market‑entry strategies for new territories, vertical markets, or customer segments.
  • Create and execute annual business development plans aligned with company goals.
  • Develop target account lists and relationship maps.
  • Position the company with owners, developers, architects, general contractors, consultants, and end users.
  • Establish executive‑level relationships with property owners, developers, general contractors, architects, brand managers, procurement teams, and hospitality and gaming decision‑makers.
  • Conduct regular face‑to‑face meetings, networking events, industry conferences, lunches, and site visits.
  • Maintain consistent touchpoints with target customers.
  • Identify projects before they hit the bid market.
  • Gather project intelligence including scope, budget, timeline, decision‑makers, competition, and procurement strategy.
  • Qualify opportunities using established sales criteria and develop opportunity strategies before handoff.
  • Introduce qualified opportunities to assigned Account Executives.
  • Support relationship development, strategic presentations, executive meetings, and proposal positioning during the sales process.
  • Ensure opportunity details are clearly transferred during handoff.
  • Provide project background, customer expectations, and strategic context to Project Management.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings when appropriate.
  • Remain engaged with strategic customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with issue resolution or executive communication as needed.
  • Help secure follow‑on opportunities during project execution.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market shifts.
  • Track construction starts, permitting activity, and development pipelines.
  • Identify emerging customer needs and recommend strategic initiatives based on market intelligence.
  • Treat all employees with respect; demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all customer and internal interactions.
  • Adhere to and exemplify the mission and core values of YESCO; promote safety at all times and in all situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field; or 7–15+ years of related experience in business development, strategic sales, construction sales, or project‑based sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in signage, construction, architecture, development, hospitality, gaming, or retail branding preferred.
  • Current driver’s license.
Additional Skills
  • Mathematical Skills: Analyze pipeline values, gross margin data, and project financials; interpret revenue contribution metrics, win rates, and budget‑level project intelligence.
  • Language Skills: Read and interpret market reports, construction documents, and company strategic plans; write business development plans, opportunity briefs, and executive correspondence; speak effectively before executive‑level customers, industry groups, and internal leadership teams.
  • Reasoning Ability: Assess market conditions, prioritize strategic opportunities, develop long‑term account penetration plans, and interpret a variety of projects and customer intelligence gathered through written, oral, or observational means.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of CRM platforms; MS Word processing software; MS Excel spreadsheet software; and YESCO Workbench or equivalent project tracking systems.
Physical Demands

Regular travel to customer sites, attendance at industry events, and face‑to‑face meetings; occasional visits to active job sites and construction environments. Requires close vision to read construction documents and site conditions.

Work Environment

Professional office settings, customer facilities, and outdoor project sites with varying noise levels. Drug‑free workplace.
