Job summary

Encompass Health in Connecticut seeks a seasoned Business Development Director to lead inpatient and outpatient growth in IRF/LTCH settings. You will design referral programs, drive census growth, and foster a culture focused on patient safety and care excellence.

You will guide, train, and develop a dynamic business development team, partnering with hospital leadership to align strategies with our mission and deliver outstanding outcomes for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare marketing or nurse liaison roles.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven track record in leading or directing sales and marketing.
• Knowledge of physician relations and managed care in the local market.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, evaluates, and monitors critical numbers and progress towards goals.
• Manages operational and financial metrics and reporting.
• Oversees all marketing operations, including hiring and staffing.
• Oversees admission processes and patient intake workflows.
• Oversees the reimbursement system and payer relationships.
• Communicates market opportunities and threats to senior management.
• Identifies new or repackaged product lines in collaboration with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and acceptable driving record according to company policy.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a marketing representative, or nurse liaison in a healthcare environment.
• Bachelor's degree in related area preferred.
• Successful track record in leading, managing or direct sales and marketing, preferably in healthcare environment.
• Physician relations, Case manager, Managed care, knowledge of local healthcare market preferred.
