The Business Development Culinary Advisor role consults with customers and sales associates to provide value added tools and resources to ensure mutual success. The emphasis of this role is on culinary solutions engagement with our customers, ultimately leading to a stronger business relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen relationships with customers through development of menus and recipe ideas.
  • Actively utilize new products in creating new recipes and menu items in support of customer needs/concepts.
  • Plan and execute customer demonstrations for new products, recipes, flavor trends, etc.
  • Analyze customer operations and their menu for suggestions to cross-utilize their inventory, improve kitchen efficiency, and other areas of interest by both parties.
  • Work directly with marketing team on flyers and other marketing materials to include recipes and menu ideas.
  • Present customers with menu ideas during consultations, focusing on customer’s needs, price point, skill level, as well as current trends.
  • Network with members of Chefs Association and other industry groups.
  • Public or large group chef demonstrations as needed.
  • Some local travel involved including overnight.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Test Kitchens including supplies, inventory and cleanliness to meet all Health Department regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Marketing preferred.
  • Accredited culinary school diploma + one year of working chef experience, or 3 years of working chef experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn industry and internal software programs.
  • Demonstrate a high sales aptitude and customer service skills; prior sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and computation skills.
  • Ability to strategize with a cross functional team to accomplish short and long term goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and required vehicle insurance.
  • Contingent on passing background investigation and drug test.
