Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. seeks a Business Development Content Manager to lead BD proposals, RFP responses, and collateral creation across hotels, resorts, and related ventures. You will own Salesforce usage for BD, develop compelling presentations, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to win new business.

You bring strong writing,100 and PowerPoint skills, plus organization and project management to drive successful campaigns and market-ready materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related discipline or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in hospitality marketing or 5+ years in a similar field.
  • Strong writing and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Canva, Adobe and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communications for Columbia Hospitality’s business development across hotels, resorts, golf, and consulting.
  • Create proposals and presentation materials for owner/client meetings.
  • Develop collateral to support pre-opening properties and portfolios.
  • Build and manage business development presentations and libraries.
  • Coordinate pipeline management, follow-up, and internal resources.
  • Lead regular owner meetings to understand needs and advise on strategy.
  • Oversee Salesforce for BD processes, reporting, and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with PR on BD news and updates.
  • Work with designers on BD collateral and presentations.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

  • Manage all communication efforts related Columbia Hospitality’s business development efforts including writing proposals and creating presentation materials for prospective owner/ client meetings across multiple verticals, including hotels and resorts, golf, consulting, and other business opportunities.
  • Manage all steps and create all content for Columbia Hospitality’s responses to requests for proposals (“RFP”) related to new properties to the Columbia Hospitality portfolio.
  • Develop collateral, presentations, and other materials to support pre-opening properties
  • Create and manage all presentations for Columbia Hospitality business development presentations including presentation library.
  • Create or work with designer to create Business Development collaterals as needed.
  • Support Business Development pipeline management and prospect follow-up, helping coordinate next steps, meetings, deliverables, and internal resources throughout the business development process.
  • Actively lead and participate in regular meetings with prospective owners to continually understand business needs and provide guidance on strategies for Business Development.
  • Tradeshow management and speaking engagement management.
  • Lead the development of transitional property plans and budgets, owner presentations for prospective, new, and new opening properties.
  • Interface with Public Relations to share Business Development news and updates.
  • Lead internal communications and celebrations for new properties, including coordinating Seattle Support Center (SSC) celebrations and announcements
  • Serve as the business owner for Salesforce, overseeing how the platform supports Business Development processes, pipeline management, reporting, and team needs; partner with the Salesforce admin on system enhancements, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality marketing or 5+ years of experience in similar field.
  • Strong writing and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Conviction for creating and managing operating processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective project and personal management skills, including time management, planning and organizing, execution and delivery of results.
  • Proficient with Canva, Adobe and Salesforce
