Pay Range:

This range is provided by Ellis Retirement Services, LLC. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Additional compensation: Annual Bonus and Commission

Ellis Retirement Services is an independent financial advisory firm helping individuals retire confidently and assisting businesses in optimizing their 401(k) plans. We’re growing and seek someone who enjoys connecting with people and initiating conversations that foster long-term relationships.

Role Overview:

We’re hiring a remote Business Development Associate who is licensed and comfortable making initial contact with prospects. You won’t manage clients or portfolios but will be the first point of contact for potential clients. Your goal: connect with qualified prospects (both 401k and retirement planning), engage them in meaningful conversations, and schedule meetings with our lead advisor.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and connect with potential clients (individuals and business decision-makers)
  2. Conduct outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone
  3. Qualify prospects through initial conversations and discovery
  4. Communicate our firm’s value and services clearly
  5. Schedule and transfer warm leads to our advisor team
  6. Track outreach activities in our CRM and follow up consistently
  7. Collaborate on marketing strategies and lead-generation campaigns
Ideal Candidate:
  • Enjoy using technology to support business development
  • Excellent communicator who builds rapport quickly
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and handling objections
  • Organized, self-motivated, and persistent in follow-up
  • Interest in retirement planning, personal finance, or 401(k) consulting
  • Experience in sales, client service, or financial services is a plus
What You Won’t Do:
  • Manage client relationships after the initial call
  • Handle portfolio management or financial planning
  • Close business — your role is to set the stage, not run the process
Additional Details:
  • Salary: $50K - $60K (depending on experience)
  • Performance bonuses for qualified meetings and new client revenue (uncapped)
  • Fully remote role with flexible scheduling
