Job summary

NewEdge Capital Group in New Orleans is seeking a Business Development Associate to reach out to financial advisors by phone and email, introduce the firm’s value, and arrange qualified conversations with the Business Development Director.

The role is ideal for someone early in their financial services career, comfortable with high-volume outreach, and eager to learn about M&A activity and the RIAs space while pursuing Securities licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in sales, business development, financial services, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to make high-volume outbound calls.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to build rapport with financial advisors and professionals over the phone, email, and in person.
• Must obtain the SIE within 60 days; Series 7 and Series 66 within six months.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls and emails to financial advisors to explain the benefits of an asset management relationship.
• Build and maintain advisor relationships via LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Attend local industry events to network and promote the firm.
• Support leadership with onboarding, marketing materials, and tasks.
• Maintain Salesforce and related databases with timely data entry.
• Stay updated on M&A activity and industry trends affecting advisors and RIAs.
• Generate ideas for outbound marketing campaigns.
