Job Description

Business Development Associate

Location: Remote: US/CA | Department: Sales & Marketing | Reports to: Business Development Executive

About Us

We are a specialized payments company focused on supporting our parent company Constellation Software Inc (CSI) – a global, Canadian based software conglomerate with a diverse international footprint. Our goal is to drive revenue optimization, strengthen client retention and deliver great functionality through our payment infrastructure.

This role offers the chance to join a company in the midst of a strong growth phase - with direct exposure to executive decision-makers, a defined customer base, and the opportunity to meaningfully impact partner and company strategy.

About the Role

As a Business Development Associate, youll be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and supporting high-value partner opportunities across the Constellation Software Inc ecosystem. This is a hybrid role that blends traditional outbound business development functions with financial analysis and pre-sales support.

Youll research Constellation Software-owned companies, initiate contact with senior finance and operations leaders, and help craft compelling business cases to reduce payment processing costs and improve revenue capture. Your work sets the stage for successful engagements and supports the Business Development Executive in closing complex deals.

What Youll Do
  • Research and qualify Constellation Software companies to identify high-potential leads and decision makers.

  • Conduct strategic outreach via email, CRM, and LinkedIn to generate engagement and discovery meetings.

  • Build and maintain financial models that showcase potential cost reductions and partner profitability.

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Executive to develop customized proposals, pitch decks, and ROI narratives.

  • Maintain accurate and organized Salesforce records for accounts, contracts, and opportunity status.

  • Join partner meetings as needed to support proposal delivery and walk through findings.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing to inform ongoing deal positionings and messaging.

What You Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, financial analysis, or pre-sales; prior fintech experience strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills with experience in building dynamic pricing models, forecasts, and profitability scenarios.

  • Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical financial concepts through visual storytelling.

  • Analytical mindset with comfort working with large datasets and financial documents, especially merchant processing statements and fee schedules.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and research skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.

Why Join Us
  • Payments-Focused Impact: Be on the front lines of helping partners reduce costs, optimize interchange, and improve profitability.

  • Hands-On Learning: Gain deep exposure to merchant pricing models, card brand fee structures, and sales strategy in the payments space.

  • Direct Deal Involvement: Your work will directly shape the proposals and financial outcomes of new partner relationships.

  • Remote Flexibility with High Trust: Work independently from anywhere while contributing to meaningful, high-visibility projects.

  • Growth Path: This role is designed to evolve—potential to grow into a senior analyst or partner-facing strategy role as we expand.
