What You’ll Do

We’re a mission-driven consulting group doing real work for clients with real problems.Pathfinder Federal Solutions is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and we exist to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and the federal government, getting the most advanced tools into the hands of the right people faster. Our clients are innovative, our work is strategic, and our people are the engine.

We’re currently looking to add aBusiness Development Analystto our growing team. This is an opportunity for someone early in their career, ideally a recent graduate or current student in communications, PR, business, or government affairs, who understands the federal contracting landscape and wants to get their hands dirty supporting high-impact work.

If you’re hungry to learn, comfortable in ambiguity, and ready to grow in a small, fast-moving environment where your work will actually matter, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work directly with the CEO and senior team to help shape and execute the business development strategy for Pathfinder and our clients. Your work will support capture and growth efforts targeting agencies like the DoD, VA, DHS, and Intelligence Community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting background research on agencies, incumbents, contract vehicles, and competitors
  • Preparing pitch decks, one-pagers, and client-ready material for meetings and outreach
  • Supporting BD pipeline development through CRM tracking, meeting notes, and follow-up
  • Coordinating and drafting responses to sources sought, RFI, and RFQ notices
  • Sitting in on client strategy calls and helping summarize action items
  • Translating complex technical or policy language into plain English
  • Maintaining and evolving Pathfinder’s internal content library (capability statements, boilerplates, etc.)

You won’t be another cog in the machine. We’ll trust you with work that has visibility, ownership, and room to grow.

What You Bring

We're looking for people who are coachable, thoughtful, and clear communicators. You should be organized, resourceful, and not afraid to speak up on calls with senior stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current enrollment or a recent bachelors degree in communications, public relations, business, political science, or a related field
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, especially for executive audiences
  • A working knowledge of the federal contracting process, including RFI/RFPs, NAICS codes, and SAM.gov
  • Confidence in a client-facing environment
  • Curiosity and intellectual range—you can pivot between writing about logistics, cybersecurity, and AI without flinching
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Notion, PowerPoint, Excel/Google Sheets, and basic CRM systems (or a willingness to learn fast)

Bonus points if you’ve interned at a federal agency, worked in a GovCon-adjacent role, or helped put together government-facing content before.

Why Pathfinder?

Pathfinder is a company that punches above its weight. We’re growing fast because we stay lean, work hard, and hold the line on quality. But our culture isn’t an afterthought, it’s the foundation. We care deeply about:

  • Building a high-trust team– No micromanagement, just accountability
  • Hiring for potential, not perfection– We’ll help you grow as fast as you’re willing to
  • Balancing intensity with humanity– We work hard, but we don’t do burnout
  • Family & Flexibility – Your life outside of work matters to us
  • Culture as Strategy – How we show up is just as important as what we do
  • Creating meaningful opportunities– The right people will have room to lead

This is not a job where you’ll sit back and wait for instructions. We want someone who’s ready to take initiative, contribute right away, and help shape the company we're building.

Compensation & Details
  • Job Type:Part-time to start (approx. 10–20 hours/week), with potential for full-time
  • Compensation:Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and availability
