Job summary

Google is seeking a Business Data Scientist for YouTube Transparency and Compliance Metrics to lead data-driven insights and policy-aware analytics. You will build scalable data products, validate data quality, and present actionable recommendations to senior leaders.

You will collaborate across Trust & Safety, Policy, Legal, and Product to shape metrics and reporting, driving impact through data-driven decisions and clear executive communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or PhD preferred.
• 3 years of analytics experience with coding (Python, R, SQL) or equivalent.
• Experience on data projects or data infrastructure in trust & safety or risk & compliance.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Deliver data for transparency reporting globally, moving from our current report-focused approach to a holistic, scaled production and validation strategy.
• Develop and evaluate new statistical models and metrics for measuring our business in a way that is appropriate for regulatory reporting.
• Curate and validate data to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the domain, business goals, and data infrastructure context.
• Execute against project timelines and milestones to meet evolving business needs, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data products and solutions.
