Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Business Analyst in Athens to lead data analytics efforts for the Bursar and Treasury Services Division. You will document business processes, design data-driven solutions, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy enterprise-level BI and reporting tools across Banner, PeopleSoft, and TouchNet.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
Advanced SQL query skills.
Knowledge of data analytics tools including Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI.
Knowledge of programming languages including Python, PL/SQL, and Power Query/DAX.
Knowledge of Power Platform, specifically Power Automate for workflow automation with Power Apps.
Knowledge of Smartsheet design.
Ability to solve complex problems systematically, adapt quickly to change, and apply sound professional judgment.
Excellent written and verbal skills to bridge technical and functional teams.
Strong time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct business analysis to document functional requirements, user workflows, and specs.
Serve as liaison between users and EITS to align solutions with needs.
Assess vendor updates and identify downstream impacts, gaps, and optimization.
Design and recommend process improvements and logic-driven models.
Develop UAT plans, test cases, and integration scenarios for upgrades and reports.
Manage project timelines and coordinate deployments across environments.
Write and validate data queries; build dashboards and reports for decision-making.
