Job description

Role: Business Data Analyst – Power Apps
Location: Remote
Duration: 15+ weekContract – July start date

We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving informed business decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs, design and build solutions using Power Apps to update the Data Verse, and help streamline data access and reporting processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional who enjoys problem-solving and has a passion for leveraging Microsoft’s Power Platform. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between the backend data sources and reporting tools, providing direct support and collaboration as a Power Automate and Power Apps specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from various internal and external sources.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
    • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support specific business initiatives.
  • Data Connectivity & Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Business Controland database teams to understand backend data structures and ensure efficient data extraction using Power Apps.
    • Collaborate directly with an internal resource specialized in Power Automate and Power Apps to establish and optimize data connections and automated workflows.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage Power Appsfor data refresh processes, notifications, and integration with other systems.
    • Assist in identifying requirements for Power Apps solutions that could enhance data collection or data entry for reporting purposes.
  • Data Quality & Governance:
    • Contribute to ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting initiatives.
    • Document data definitions, report logic, and data sources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users on Power Apps and the Data Verse.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Hands on Power Apps and Data Verse experience – preferably with business control data.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team
