Job summary

On-Demand Group is seeking a Data Business Analyst to support a high-impact enterprise data platform integration initiative. This role bridges business and technical teams, clarifies complex data environments, and drives standardization across platforms during migration.

You will partner with stakeholders to define how airline data is integrated, analyze data definitions, and produce essential documentation such as BRDs, source-to-target mappings, and process flows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst in enterprise environments.
• Strong ability to query and analyze data using SQL.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Medallion architecture and semantic models.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a strong data-focused BA who can bridge business and technical teams, bring clarity to complex data environments, and help standardize data across platforms.

• Partner with business and technical teams to define how data from both airlines will be integrated and standardized
• Analyze and document differences in data definitions (e.g., passenger, revenue, operational metrics)
• Support data platform migrations, application changes, and integration initiatives
• Query and analyze data to identify discrepancies, gaps, and inconsistencies
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for data engineering teams
• Produce high-quality documentation, including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• Source-to-target mappings
• Process flows
• Help standardize and govern data across multiple platforms running in parallel during migration

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst in enterprise environments
• Strong ability to query and analyze data using SQL
• Solid understanding of:
• ETL/ELT concepts
• Data warehousing and modern data platforms
• Familiarity with concepts such as:
• Medallion architecture
• Semantic models
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting data platform integrations or migrations
• Exposure to Azure + Databricks and/or AWS data ecosystems
• Experience working in large, cross-functional data organizations
• Ability to quickly learn new business domains and translate them into data requirements

The projected hourly range for this position is $59 to $65.
