BEST program seeks a Business Consultant to support the Switch On the Green Economy (SOGE) project in Mongolia. You will collaborate with partner organizations, assist in implementing activities, and ensure timely progress while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

The role targets professionals with a background in business development, capacity building, and English proficiency to coordinate and deliver trainings, monitor progress, and support documentation and reporting.

Competenze

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Business administration or related field.
• Capacity building delivery including trainings and consultations preferred.
• Good understanding of business environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Deliver capacity building interventions including business trainings and tailored consultations to MSMEs.
• Facilitate and organize the participation of MSMEs in the project’s capacity building activities.

Switching On the Green Economy (SOGE) 3-year project’s overall objective is to contribute to progressive transition to low-carbon, resource-efficient circular economy and accelerated poverty reduction in Mongolia.

Development Solutions (DS), People in Need (PIN), Mongolia Sustainable Finance Association (MSFA) and Caritas Czech Republic (CCR), bring unique technical expertise and experience to support MSMEs and retailers in gradual adoption of more sustainable business models and complement national efforts to put in place and scale up a fair and transparent system for green certification and eco-labelling.

Objective of the position

With a close collaboration with program and operation team of partner organizations to work and assist in the implementation of the project under the supervision of the project coordinator. (S)he will be responsible overall project implementation activity and ensure that the project is moving on time within the scope of framework.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to MSMEs in developing business plans and functions;
• Deliver capacity building interventions including business trainings and tailored consultations to MSMEs;
• Facilitate and organize the participation of MSMEs in the project’s capacity building activities;
• Establish, maintain and develops a strong relationship with partner organizations and other stakeholders;
• Support procurement processes in timely manner in collaboration with financial officers;
• Support the monitoring and evaluation system for economic governance improvement;
• Follow-up, on a daily basis, with project partners to ensure smooth implementation of project activities
• Prepare and support the timely preparation and submission of progress report, documents and other relevant audit and financial documents
• Translation of project’s documents interpretation from English into Mongolian and vice versa.
• Preform any other tasks assigned by the project Coordinator and other managers.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Business administration or related field
• Capacity in delivery of capacity building activities including business trainings and consultations preferred;
• Good understanding of business environment;
• Fluent in written and spoken English;
