Position Overview:

Marian High School is seeking a full-time Business, Computers, and Media Communications Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for digital learning to a curriculum that prepares students with the technology, communication, and business skills needed to thrive in today’s professional landscape. This position includes teaching courses in Introduction to Business, Computer Applications I, and Computer Applications II, focusing on real-world application, digital responsibility, and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teach Introduction to Business, covering topics such as global business, entrepreneurship, marketing, financial operations, and human resources, with an emphasis on essential business communication.
  2. Teach Computer Applications I, introducing students to digital platforms, Internet safety, file types, and responsible communication in a digital environment.
  3. Teach Computer Applications II, focusing on advanced digital content creation, collaborative learning, and communication skills using digital media applications.
  4. Design and deliver project-based instruction that supports critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world readiness.
  5. Use a variety of educational technologies and applications to enhance student learning.
  6. Maintain accurate student records and gradebooks using PowerSchool.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure alignment with Marian’s academic standards and mission.
  8. Participate in department meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Media, Computer Science, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Michigan teaching certification with appropriate endorsements preferred.
  • Classroom teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and media (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
