Job Summary

To plan, manage, and monitor the implementation of business development activities to deliver on approved operational plans effectively and efficiently, including client value proposition solutions.

Job Description

  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain professional relationships through networking with industry leaders, regulators, policy makers, and key business partners to develop new ventures.
  • Delivery Business Development: Champion and manage the strategic plan for bulk business acquisition in line with Absa's business unit strategy.
  • Market Intelligence: Collect market intelligence through research—reading articles, publications, internet sources, word of mouth, and networking daily—to stay updated on market developments.
  • People Management: Coach, mentor, and manage team members to achieve business objectives and support colleague development.
  • Operations & Compliance: Keep up-to-date with relevant knowledge, legislation, and developments within the business unit and banking industry that may impact Business Advantage.

Education

Bachelor's Degree and Professional Qualifications in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required).
