Position Title: Business Banker 2

Business Unit: Commercial Banking

Reports To: Commercial Banking Team Leader

Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships; administering a portfolio of loans; analyzing creditworthiness; monitoring loan performance; and promoting the Bank’s image to develop new and expand existing loan, deposit, and overall business relationships and contribute to the Bank’s profit and growth objectives. The incumbent provides the highest quality of service to every customer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain business relationships by profiling and determining banking needs, selling products and services, and resolving performance issues in a professional manner to expand existing loan, deposit, and overall business relationships and contribute to the Bank’s profit and growth objectives.
• Develop and administer a portfolio of loans by conducting sound credit analysis of customers’ financial conditions and repayment ability in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives such as portfolio yield, loss ratio, and delinquency while providing excellent customer service.
• Analyze creditworthiness by assessing loan soundness, understanding customers’ financial condition, collateral position, and ability to repay in accordance with the Bank’s credit quality, profitability, and growth objectives and established policies, procedures, and regulations to create a portfolio of quality loans that meet or exceed standards.
• Monitor loan performance by maintaining contact with borrowers, understanding their financial condition, and resolving problems in accordance with policies and procedures and in an accurate, timely manner to reduce risk from collateral deterioration or the borrower’s inability to pay.
• Promote the Bank’s image by participating in community development activities and service organizations in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act to present a favorable image and generate new business.
• Maintain a personal development program for knowledge in business development, lending, and other banking matters, demonstrating personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication, and initiative with customers and employees to ensure an acceptable degree of performance.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Serve as a risk manager for daily business activities by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring risk in accordance with F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.
