Position Details
  • Title: Business Banker 3
  • Business Unit: Commercial Banking
  • Reports To: Commercial Banking Team Leader
Position Overview

This position is primarily responsible for developing new business relationships, servicing current clients, maintaining a prospect call program, networking referral sources, conducting prospect blitzes, and enhancing the Bank’s visibility in the community. The incumbent provides high-quality service to every customer, supports the Bank’s profit and loan objectives, and contributes to community engagement.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Develops and services business relationships by profiling clients, contacting customers to identify banking needs, selling products/services, and resolving issues.
  2. Maintains a prospect call program through referrals, cold calls, and community engagement.
  3. Networks with referral sources like CPAs and attorneys, hosting receptions and maintaining relationships to generate referrals.
  4. Collaborates with Commercial, Retail, and Trust personnel to promote the Bank’s image and develop new business.
  5. Enhances community visibility by participating in events and serving on boards.
  6. Submits timely reports on business development activities to management.
  7. Advises and supports Business Development Officers and Commercial Bankers.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial or business banking
  • Strong project management, communication, customer service, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word (Basic), MS Excel (Intermediate), MS PowerPoint (Basic)
  • Knowledge of lending laws and successful community engagement experience
