Job summary

Wolfe House & Building Movers seeks an experienced Business or Contract Attorney to act as dedicated legal counsel on a full‑time basis. You will draft, review, and negotiate a heavy volume of commercial contracts, manage risk, and ensure compliance across multiple state jurisdictions.

You will work closely with executive leadership and project managers to streamline legal operations, support governance, and handle disputes with outside counsel when necessary.

Qualifications

• Jurist degree required; extensive experience handling contracts.
• Experience negotiating commercial and heavy equipment contracts.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑state regulatory and labor standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and subcontractor agreements.
• Identify legal risks and advise leadership on risk allocation and insurance needs.
• Monitor regulatory compliance across states Wolfe operates in.
• Support corporate policies, employment agreements, and governance matters.
• Provide guidance on contract disputes and liaise with outside counsel if needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business or Contract Attorney to serve as our dedicated legal counsel on full-time basis. In this role, you will protect the company’s interests by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a heavy volume of commercial contracts, managing risk, and ensuring compliance across multiple state jurisdictions. You will work closely with our executive leadership team and project managers to streamline our legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate structural and industrial moving agreements, subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, and heavy equipment leases.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal liabilities in complex commercial projects and advise leadership on risk allocation, indemnification clauses, and insurance requirements.
• Multi-State Compliance: Monitor and advise on regulatory compliance, permitting laws, and labor standards across the various states where Wolfe operates.
• Corporate Governance: Assist with internal corporate policies, employment agreements, and general corporate maintenance.
• Dispute Resolution: Provide initial guidance on contract disputes, mechanics' liens, and insurance claims, managing outside specialized counsel if litigation becomes necessary.

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
