Job description

Business Architect – Supply Chain Planning

Full Time ·

USA

AbouttheRole
We are looking for a Business Architect – Supply Chain Planning, based in the US, to shape how our North American clients plan their business across IBP, Demand and Supply. You will design the target planning operating model, translate it into a process-technology path, and be the person the client's senior leadership turns to for direction.
The role combines: deep, practitioner-level understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning, and the consulting and relationship skills to lead a US client through change - building trust with executives, steering decisions when information is incomplete, and keeping the program aligned with business objectives.
Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain planning, including at least 3 years in consulting (client-facing advisory work is a must).
  • Hands-on experience as a planning practitioner or leader in a mature organization (FMCG / CPG, Life Sciences / Pharma, Retail or similar).
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing end-to-end planning and S&OP / IBP operating models, with measurable results (forecast accuracy, service level, inventory, cost).
  • Strong understanding of Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Management concepts, processes and leading practices.
  • Experience leading a planning transformation workstream or program from assessment through implementation.
  • Working knowledge of how advanced planning systems support planning processes; experience with at least one of o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP / APO, Blue Yonder or comparable platforms.
  • Experience advising and influencing senior and C-level stakeholders, and managing client relationships in the US.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills; able to bring clarity when the problem is ambiguous.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Based in the US, with the ability to work in remote and international teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel based on project needs.
Responsibilities
As a Business Architect, you will be responsible for:
  • Acting as the lead business advisor and main point of contact for US client stakeholders, from executive sponsors to planning teams.
  • Assessing the client's current planning processes, organization, data and KPIs, and identifying where value is being lost.
  • Designing the target operating model for Integrated Business Planning across Demand, Supply, Commercial and Finance, including S&OP / IBP and S&OE — processes, roles, cadence, decision rights, governance and KPIs.
  • Designing Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes end to end, including forecasting methodology, inventory policy and supply / production planning.
  • Shaping the best-fit process-technology path and translating business design into functional requirements for planning platforms (o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP or similar).
  • Guiding functional implementation through design, testing, training and adoption, working closely with solution architects, data and integration teams.
  • Leading workshops and design sessions, and helping client teams reach decisions.
  • Shaping change management and planning-organization design so the new model sticks.
  • Building quantified business cases and presenting recommendations to C-level and senior leadership.
  • Growing the client relationship: recognizing where HyLogic can help beyond the current scope and making the case for it.
  • Mentoring consultants and contributing to HyLogic's IBP and planning methodology.
Nicetohave
  • ASCM / APICS or planning platform certifications (e.g. o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP).
  • MBA or a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, BI or analytics tools.
