Job description

The Opportunity

The Business Architect Sr will play a pivotal role in developing and influencing a strategic MRSNA wide view of our end to end value chain/Target Operating Models and the associated capabilities. This will include current business views and what is needed to meet strategic objectives. Working closely with colleagues across the business, counterparts in IT and across GSI to understand business drivers, language and levers to determine the activities and capabilities required to meet objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and enhance the business architecture strategy which will support and enable our financial objectives, to achieve Ambition 2030 vision and which will influence the technology architecture landscape.
  2. Analyze the business and strategic objectives to develop a set of scenarios and blueprints for the organization to understand impact.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to build blueprints to provide various views to the business.
  4. Maintain a holistic overview of the business and how we operate in order to identify opportunities to constantly evolve and embed best practices.
  5. Work with the Portfolio, Project and Transformation teams to scope and shape significant deliverables, ensuring the team is applying strategic principles and enterprise thinking when delivering change.
  6. Engage with Senior Stakeholders to identify outcomes, targets and measures used to develop and analyze architecture templates to ensure usability for transformation initiatives.
  7. Provide insights to influence target state thinking.
  8. Embed the Business Architecture framework which will drive and apply appropriate governance, design principles and business standardizations.
  9. Help Drive forward Outcome and Value based thinking for the business to deliver the best outcomes for clients / policyholders.
  10. Responsible for the alignment of business capabilities and company strategy, influencing the target operating model to support growth, profitability and client centricity.

Qualifications

  1. Experience working at Senior levels, influencing Target Operating Model design.
  2. Strategic thinker, who always has the long term picture as a foundation from which design decisions are based.
  3. Ability to comfortably switch between strategic big picture and detail.
  4. Achieve and share clarity where others see complexity.
  5. Proficiency in modelling business capabilities, value streams using various tools and techniques.
  6. Extensive (7+ years) knowledge and experience within the insurance market (preferably specialty lines), navigating complex matrix structured regulated entities.
  7. Ability to effectively collaborate across different teams, skillsets and competing agendas.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $154,100 - $226,100 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
