Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Memphis, TN is seeking a seasoned Business Architect Advisor to guide business value through strategy, analysis, and design of manual and automated solutions. You will manage work streams, briefing executives on progress, and translate business needs into technology requirements.

You will develop performance metrics and risk plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external providers to deliver enterprise programs on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience with a minimum of four (4) areas: applications development or maintenance, transportation/logistics operations, business analysis, business process modeling, business object or logical data modeling, business and/or IT standards.
• Advanced experience with architecture techniques across varied projects and complexities.
• Experience with business capability or enterprise analysis.

Job description

The primary responsibilities of the Business Architect Advisor include consulting and guiding the identification of business value through the holistic conceptualization and refinement of business strategy, analysis, planning, and design of manual and automated solutions.

Essential Functions

• Establishes, monitors, and directs project work streams and provides timely executive management briefings on progress and accomplishments.
• Creates plans to measure performance, produce scorecards, and ensure the use of end-user feedback loops for enhancements.
• Identifies potential risks and develops contingency plans and mitigation solutions.
• Works with minimal management supervision to maintain progress and accomplish project goals.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues to appropriate levels in a timely manner.
• Leads or assists in translating business needs into technology requirements.
• Uses project management practices to create project proposals, plans, budgets, schedules, and financial justifications from concept through post-implementation.
• Analyzes business processes and operational capabilities to recommend strategic and tactical solutions.
• Leads and directs cross-functional, cross-OPCO, and third-party provider representatives in developing enterprise programs and tactics.
• Prepares decision analysis and reports for presentation to all levels of management.
• Develops and manages third-party providers to ensure performance to goals and contractual compliance.
• Ensures all program management objectives are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree/equivalent in engineering, business information systems, computer science, or other quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years of experience with a minimum of four (4) of the following areas: applications development or maintenance, transportation/logistics operations, business analysis, business process modeling, business object or logical data modeling, business and/or it standards/processes, metrics design/analysis, software design. Advanced experience with architecture techniques in a wide range of projects and complexities. Experience working with business capability or enterprise analysis.

The desired location for this position is Memphis, TN (MEM) location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
