Job summary

1872 Consulting, a national CRE investment manager, seeks a Business Applications Associate (Equity) in Los Angeles or Atlanta. This onsite, full-time role owns the equity asset management tech stack, collaborating with the VP of Business Applications to evaluate and rollout a new platform while supporting pro forma data initiatives.

You will translate equity workflows into requirements, validate data, and lead platform configuration with strong SQL and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a business analyst, systems, or technology role at a real estate firm.
• Hands-on experience with at least one RE/CRE-finance platform (Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Entrata, Chatham, Argus).
• Experience owning or driving a system implementation and rollout.
• Working SQL for data validation and reporting queries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; self-directed with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Help evaluate, select, and implement a new equity asset management platform (requirements, vendor assessment, UAT, rollout).
• Own day-to-day administration and configuration of equity applications, including user roles and permissions.
• Validate ingested financial data against source materials, flag discrepancies, and drive resolution with sponsors and vendors.
• Translate equity workflows (budget vs actuals, quarterly reporting, asset surveillance) into functional requirements.

$110,000-$130,000 base + 20% target bonus

Our client is an established national commercial real estate investment manager with approximately $29 billion in assets under management, investing in debt and equity across all major property types on behalf of institutional investors. Founded over 25 years ago, the firm originates and manages all of its own investments from offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, and New York. The culture is lean and high-ownership, with direct access to senior leadership and long employee tenure.

The Business Applications Associate is the dedicated systems owner for the firm's equity asset management technology stack, reporting to the VP of Business Applications. You will play a central role in evaluating and implementing a new equity asset management platform, from business requirements and vendor assessment through UAT and rollout, while providing hands-on support for the firm's pro forma extraction and asset-level data initiatives. This is a liaison seat built for someone who pairs technical fluency with strong people skills, with a defined growth path toward AVP and exposure to a firm-wide data initiative.

• Experience owning or driving a system implementation, conversion, or major enhancement through rollout
• Working SQL for data validation and reporting queries
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; self-directed and comfortable with limited oversight
