A leading company is seeking a Business Analytics Lead Analyst (VP) to drive data analysis and reporting for the Internal Audit team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analytics, strong interpersonal skills, and a relevant degree. This hybrid role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance business decision-making capabilities and improve operational policies.
The Data Analytics Lead Analyst VP participates and directs the development, support and delivery of internal and external reporting, data control testing, report validation and presentation support for the Internal Audit team which performs audits of the Chief Operating Office (COO), including the Enterprise Data Office and Data Management.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Gathers operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance.
Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis
Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Leverages data science (statistics, NLP, ML, AI) to conduct broad and deep testing to identify data quality concerns, or potential weaknesses in data governance.
Serves as lead analyst for all types of reviews and leads time-based project teams as required.
Develops effective line management relationships to ensure strong understanding of the business.
Demonstrates strong judgment, political astuteness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure :
6-10 years of experience in a reporting and/or analytics role
Experience as an Operations Research Analyst, Analytics Manager, Strategic Business Analyst or related position performing quantitative analytics supporting financial services
Experience analyzing large datasets; applying mathematical, statistical and quantitative analysis techniques to perform complex analyses and data mining
Senior level experience in a related role with experience in providing scheduled and ad-hoc reporting, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing concurrently on a portfolio of high quality deliverables to stakeholders according to strict timetables.
Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management.
Education:
Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred. Degree in Analytics, Data Science, MIS, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Technology (IT) preferred.
