Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Analytics Lead Analyst for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Analyze data to identify customer behavior patterns and associated profitability, and leverage data-driven insights to make omni-channel marketing recommendations for cards customers. Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce expenses. Manage end-to-end strategy development projects building consensus across cross-functional stakeholders and implementing recommendations. Design tests to evaluate cards retention and ECM initiatives and assess their effectiveness in incremental profitability. Optimize targeting universe, recommend effective treatments and offers, and forecast and measure performance. Gather operational data from various cross-functional stakeholders and examine past business performances. Identify and analyze data patterns and trends, and provide insights to various decision-making processes, including business planning, process improvement, and solution assessment. Recommend actions for future developments and strategic business opportunities and operational policies. Execute exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis, and qualitative analysis. Translate data into consumer and customer behavioral insights that drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate finding to business partners and senior leaders. Continuously improve operational processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any), Business Analytics or related field and 1 year of experience as a Business Analytics Senior Analyst, or related position involving analyzing data to monitor profitability, optimize revenue and costs in a global financial services institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 3 years of the specified experience. One year of experience must include: Utilizing PySpark and HIVE for data extraction from Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP) to identify trends, data patterns, and perform statistical analyses; Utilizing SAS to extract data from Teradata for complex data processing and revenue forecasting; Utilizing SQL for reporting, analysis, and extracting data from Teradata; Profit and loss (P&L) analysis, including identifying drivers and simulation scenarios; Data visualization and metrics creations using Tableau; and BASH (Bourne-Again SHell) scripting for data sharing and migration.
