Cencora is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to support the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform modernization by redesigning products and adding iterative enhancements for internal and customer-facing tools. The role contributes to CI/CD and a scalable self-service framework to deliver greater business value.

You will work with cross-functional teams on data-driven insights, dashboard development using Tableau/Power BI, and performance tracking across business units.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce.com or similar CRM preferred.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL is advantageous.

Job Details

Summary:

As part of Cencora's Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform modernization initiative, this intern will support the redesign of current products and design iterative enhancement features for both internal and customer-facing tools for the InSite Data Solutions Team. The role contributes directly to the platform's move toward continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and a scalable, self-service solution delivery framework that provides greater business value to internal teams and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using statistical methods and tools. Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in the data to generate actionable insights.

Dashboard & Product Development

Design and build dashboards for internal and customer-facing product builds using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Contribute to the redesign of existing products and the development of iterative enhancement features as part of the team's modernization initiative.

Performance Tracking

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for different business units or projects. Provide regular updates on performance metrics and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Data-driven Decision Making

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and provide support in making data-driven decisions. Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis.

Platform Modernization Support

Support the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform modernization effort by contributing to a scalable, self-service solution delivery framework and helping advance the team's continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Ad Hoc Analysis

Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested by stakeholders or team members. Assist in answering specific business questions through data mining, modeling, or other analytical techniques.

Documentation

Document processes, methodologies, and findings related to data analysis projects. Ensure that documentation is organized, accurate, and accessible for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate school and pursuing a bachelor's of Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with large datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce.com or similar CRM is preferred.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL for querying databases is advantageous.
• Interest in or exposure to dashboard and product design principles, including user experience (UX) considerations for customer-facing tools, is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior internship experience or coursework related to analytics is beneficial but not required.

• Must be eligible to work in the US.

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale.

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
