About The Role

The Business Analytics & Reporting Analyst

The Business Analytics & Reporting Analyst is a strategic partner to FP&A and business leaders, helping turn financial and operational data into clear insights, practical recommendations, and better business decisions. The role develops a strong understanding of how Enclave operates, identifies meaningful performance drivers, defines trusted KPIs, improves reporting processes, and translates business questions into scalable analytics solutions. This position works closely with IT and data resources but is primarily accountable for business analysis, decision support, reporting, solution validation, and user adoption rather than enterprise data engineering or platform administration.

Position Information

  • Primary Work Location: Fargo, ND or St. Louis Park, MN

  • Work Environment: On-Site

  • Work Type: Full-time, Exempt

Responsibilities

FP&A, Finance and Business Partnership

  • Partner with FP&A, Finance, and other business leaders to understand reporting, planning, forecasting, and operational decision needs.

  • Lead discovery conversations to clarify the business question, decision to be supported, current process, pain points, users, data sources, expected outcomes, and measures of success before a solution is designed.

  • Build a practical understanding of Enclave’s business models, financial statements, operating processes, systems, and key performance drivers.

  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, process maps, report specifications, KPI definitions, business rules, acceptance criteria, and prioritized work items.

  • Present findings, risks, opportunities, and recommendations in clear business language for both leadership and operational audiences.

  • Manage and prioritize reporting and analytics requests based on business value, urgency, effort, data readiness, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Data Accessibility and Reporting Enablement

  • Develop reporting solutions and trusted datasets that make financial and operational information easier for business users to access, understand, and analyze.

  • Enable budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, operational reviews, and performance measurement by providing reliable data structures, recurring reports, and self-service capabilities.

  • Organize and present financial and operational data in ways that help FP&A and business leaders evaluate results, investigate drivers, and perform their own analysis.

  • Develop and maintain executive scorecards, operational reports, KPI frameworks, and analytical tools based on business‑defined measures and decision needs.

  • Use Excel, Power BI, and related tools to validate data, support reporting needs, improve accessibility, and reduce reliance on manual or disconnected reporting processes.

Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics

  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical tools for executive and operational audiences.

  • Establish consistent reporting definitions, calculations, measures, filters, assumptions, and business rules in partnership with process and metric owners.

  • Reduce manual reporting, consolidate duplicate reports, improve recurring reporting processes, and expand access to reliable information while maintaining appropriate controls.

  • Enable self-service reporting through trusted datasets, reusable report patterns, clear documentation, user training, and practical guidance.

  • Evaluate reporting usability, adoption, performance, and data accessibility; gather stakeholder feedback and make iterative improvements that increase reliability and business value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, operational analysis, business analysis, management reporting, business intelligence, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting processes, variance analysis, KPI development, and business performance measurement.
