NBH Bank is seeking a Data Analyst I to join our Business Analytics & Network Strategy team in Kansas City. You will partner with multiple departments to develop production reporting, ensure data integrity, and deliver insightful dashboards.

This role emphasizes collaboration, speed, and accuracy in a fast-paced banking environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in analytics, strong SQL/BI skills, and proven ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business analytics or a similar role.
• Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.

As a Data Analyst I, you will:

• Be responsible for working closely with the Senior Reporting Manager and the entire Business Analytics & Network Strategy team.
• Use modern business intelligence tools to develop and oversee the creation of production/performance reporting.

• Requires someone with knowledge of banking products and services as well as the overall knowledge of banking industry and the respective market areas served.
• Partner with Enterprise Technology, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance to spot trends and opportunities to drive incremental profit through the delivery of actionable business intelligence.
• Will need to effectively handle multiple assignments and projects with minimal supervision along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As a Data Analyst I, you will have an opportunity to:

• Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of data from multiple sources.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all analytics processes.
• Develop and implement data models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support business needs.
• Design and deliver comprehensive reports and visualizations that effectively communicate insights.
• Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to present complex data in an understandable format.
• Ensure that all reporting is aligned with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Minimum Requirements:This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in business analytics, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills:

• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent years of on the job experience
• 3+ Experience with data visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI or SAS
• 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse systems such as FIS Business Intelligence or any other business objects reporting system
• 3+ years progressive job experience in consumer/retail banking
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
