CarGurus is seeking a Business Analytics Analyst to join the Business Analytics & Reporting team. This team is responsible for the analytical rigor behind reporting, forecasting, and financial modeling that enable day-to-day and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in computer science, mathematics, statistics, analytics, or economics; MS preferred.
• 2+ years of professional analysis and reporting experience.
• Ability to understand systems and align data with business goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hypothesis-driven analysis.
• Fluent in SQL and an analytical tool; Git, Python, and LLMs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis across disparate data sources.
• Engage with decision-makers to structure downstream work and findings.
• Identify causal relationships of business mechanisms.
• Develop metrics, build reports and dashboards to monitor performance.
