Job summary

The Cigna Group in the United States seeks an experienced healthcare analytics professional to lead complex analytic initiatives evaluating clinical programs, delivering clear proof of value in cost, quality, and outcomes.

You will design rigorous evaluation approaches, develop predictive models, and translate large healthcare data into actionable insights for business and clinical leaders, partnering across functions and communicating results to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, health services research, or related field.
• 3+ years of healthcare analytics, data science, or outcomes research.
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, evaluation research design, and applied analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with healthcare data sets, including claims, utilization, and diagnostic codes.
• Ability to work independently on complex problems while collaborating effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Clear communication skills and comfort influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.

• Develop and apply statistical and predictive models to stratify risk, assess behavior change, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate large-scale healthcare data into actionable insights and recommendations for business and clinical leaders.
• Partner with stakeholders across clinical, operations, product, pharmacy, and behavioral health teams to shape analytic strategy and testing plans.
• Communicate results clearly to non-technical audiences, influencing decisions through compelling data storytelling.
• Uphold analytic standards, methods, and rigor to ensure results can be confidently used to drive material improvements.

Qualifications

Required

Preferred

• Recent experience with program evaluation, outcomes research, or health services research methods.
• Background presenting findings through publications, presentations, or internal thought leadership.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 98,200 - 163,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
