Location: Long Island, NY (Remote - Travel Occasionally)

Duration: 6+ Months (Extendable)

Must be in EST and willing to travel occasionally.

Job Description:

The Business Analyst will be working in the energy efficiency space providing technical application support for our utility client and will be required to coordinate system requirements with technical resources, project managers, and customers at various levels. Responsibilities will include analysis, change management, coordinating and tracking of information on high visibility and tightly scheduled large projects with customers and deadlines. The candidate will also be required to develop solutions that require depth of technical knowledge and understand through discussions with the technical team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day operation of energy efficiency programs, including tracking, forecasting, and updating customer information records, and resolving customer issues.
• Assist in developing business cases, project plans, and estimates.
• Lead business requirements gathering workshops and document business requirements.
• Analyze current business processes and document process flows.
• Work with business stakeholders in developing business process flows.
• Utilize domain specific knowledge to work with business stakeholders to identify, specify and analyze business requirements and processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Research and develop emerging technologies, develop business cases and create pilot projects to test out new customer products and services prior to mass deployment.
• Coordinate with different teams to improve productivity on tasks/projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-driven and have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
• Demonstrated multitasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects across different platforms with different project managers.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good understanding of technology platforms and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements.

Qualifications:

Utility experience greatly preferred.
