C.H. Robinson is looking to fill a Business Analyst – Trade Compliance position. In this role, you will be part of the Global Export Compliance team, playing a key role in enhancing compliance processes through data-driven insights. Responsibilities include developing dashboards, cleaning and analyzing data, and designing reports to support regulatory adherence and operational efficiency. The role requires expertise in data analytics, reporting tools, and export compliance principles to ensure accurate risk mitigation metrics. Additionally, the Business Analyst will educate internal stakeholders, helping interpret trends and translate results into actionable insights for decision-making and improvements.

This role offers remote work flexibility within the United States.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports to track export compliance metrics.
• Create, document, and maintain project plans, process flows, and metrics.
• Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and compliance gaps.
• Present data-driven insights to leadership, helping them understand compliance performance and risks; provide recommendations.
• Define and track KPIs related to export controls, licensing, screening, and trade compliance processes.
• Analyze screening results, export classification trends, and licensing data to assess risks.
• Identify patterns or anomalies indicating compliance risks or operational inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with Trade Compliance, IT, and BI teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency.
• Provide training and documentation to help compliance staff utilize dashboards effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience as a business analyst
• Intermediate skills in data analysis, business intelligence, or compliance analytics
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.)
• Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables, PowerQuery), and data management tools

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Understanding of export compliance principles
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods for risk monitoring
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regulatory environment
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills
• Critical thinking skills and adaptability
• High attention to detail
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels

Compensation Range

$53,900 - $112,000.00. The exact pay depends on location, skills, experience, and education. This range reflects base pay only, excluding variable compensation.
