Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Business Analyst to own analytics projects across talent acquisition, build reports, and surface actionable data for leadership. You will drive trend analyses, data integrity, and enterprise-wide reporting solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Building the design of operational dashboards and reports for recruiting leaders and the businesses they support.
  • Creating and maintaining data visualizations that inform stakeholders on key metrics.
  • Conducting trend analysis to identify opportunities and provide corrective actions.
  • Providing recommendations on organization health metrics based on data trends.
  • Leading headcount planning exercises in Talent Acquisition with Finance.
  • Developing programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.
  • Acting as SME for corporate recruiting tools and training team members.
  • Performing regular system audits to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
  • Performing complex data analysis across multiple systems for scheduled and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Data mining KPIs to discover root causes.
  • Working with Amazon data resources to determine sources for information.
  • Analyze business outcome data to identify relationships and trends; visualize statistical analyses.
  • Contributing to the writing of research papers for internal audiences.
  • Monitoring metrics, developing new metrics, and identifying actionable risk signals.

Job description

As a Business Analyst, this is your opportunity to be at the intersection of data, analysis, hiring, and strategy that will make it possible for our teams to fulfill that customer promise every day.

In this role, you will own data analytics projects from beginning to end, and will build reports, compile metrics, and own ad hoc and trend analysis. You will utilize business intelligence tools to analyze data and drive key recommendations. You will work with Talent Acquisition leadership to achieve business objectives and communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation; and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

You will provide analytical support for various Talent Acquisition programs, and build tools to surface timely, meaningful, and actionable data that will drive proactive decision making. Your analysis will contribute deeply to the development of our strategy and drive impact against our hiring objectives. You will collaborate with subject matter experts across Amazon to work through complex problems and to create unified scalable reporting solutions at an enterprise-wide level. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
