Job summary

AllianceBernstein is offering a Business Analyst Summer Intern position within the Technology & Operations unit in Nashville. You will support institutional investors, analysts, PMs, and relationship managers while learning AB’s products, services, and technology-driven processes.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/math/finance/business and have a 3.3+ GPA, with availability to work full-time from June to August.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future).
• Available to work full-time from June through August.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Cannot take academic classes or hold other employment conflicting with internship.
• Keen interest in project management, scoping projects, capturing requirements, defining use cases, UIs, and testing scenarios.
• Experience with SQL and/or other programming languages is a plus.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies to improve business processes and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Who You’ll Work With

The Technology team provides computing, communications, infrastructure, services, support, and innovations that sustain high-quality research and diverse investment services for institutional investors and private clients. The team also supports AB’s employees. Technical roles in our New York City and Nashville locations have a high degree of interaction with our investment teams.

The Operations team provides vital investment-management functions through more than two dozen offices located around the world. It’s dedicated to institutional investment-management services, private client administration, fund services, brokerage operations and change agents.

What You’ll Do

The Business Analyst Summer Intern within our Technology & Operations business unit will be assigned to a variety of teams supporting institutional investors, research analysts, portfolio managers, client relationship managers, traders, wholesalers, and more. You will work closely with Sr. Business Analysts and Project Managers while learning key business processes, AllianceBernstein’s products and services, and develop an understanding of the inner workings of how an investment management firm is powered by technology.

Internship projects may include:

• Streamlining and simplifying the Trading Order Management process
• Applying statistical and machine learning techniques used in the investment decision making process
• Re-designing aspects of client reporting
• Explore opportunities for better automation

Summer Interns contribute to and learn from AB’s innovative use of technology, deep research capabilities, global presence, and breadth of investment management expertise. The flat corporate structure allows Interns to become deeply integrated into the team and contribute meaningfully to investment decision-making early on in their careers.

What We’re Looking For

• December 2026 through May/June 2027 Bachelor’s degree candidates in computer science, engineering, math, finance, economics, business, or liberal arts
• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future)
• Candidates must be available to work full-time from June through August
• Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check
• It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule
• Keen interest in project management, particularly with the scoping of projects, capturing and documenting requirements, and defining use cases, user interfaces, and testing scenarios
• Experience with SQL and/or other programming languages is a plus
• Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve business processes, enhance decision-making, identify automation opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
