A leading energy company is looking for a Business Analyst/Specialist to create financial models and perform strategic financial analyses. Candidates should have a degree in finance or a related field, strong quantitative skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This fully remote position excludes a few states unless the candidate is willing to relocate. Infrequent travel may be required.

The Business Analyst/Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

• Create and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, discounted cash flow analysis, and valuation
• Perform financial analysis to determine impacts and attractiveness of internal projects, strategic initiatives, and acquisitions / divestitures
• Develop medium & long-term financial budgeting, planning, and sensitivity analysis
• Create charts, graphs, and visualizations
• Prepare materials for corporate presentations and Board of Director meetings
• Evaluate and assist in capital markets activities including debt and equity issuances and repurchases
• Provide analytical support for communication with credit rating agencies

Required Experience and Skills:

• 1 years of related work experience that demonstrates quantitative skills and an ability to perform a variety of financial and strategic analyses
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering, or a closely related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is a plus
• Financial modeling experience
• Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations
• Willingness to be self-directed and get into the details
• Effective collaboration and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
• Self-starter with an ability to quickly grasp & assess business goals and financial issues

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Oil and gas industry experience
• Knowledge of data query and analysis programs (DataBricks, Power BI, Spotfire)
• Experience with Salesforce, FactSet, Bloomberg, and OneStream software
• Coding skills (SQL, Python, R)

This position will be fully remote, excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate. Infrequent travel for in-person gathering may be required.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
