Job Description

Job Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and available data. Collaborates with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. May participate in management reviews, presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending actions. This role involves working with various types of business data, either internal operations-focused or external client-focused.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Provides analytical and problem-solving foundation including: definition, documentation, and specifications.
  • Recognizes, documents, and implements changes to existing business processes; identifies new opportunities for process improvements.
  • Researches and analyzes data related to the area of expertise, working towards becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Uses analytical skills to identify root causes and assist with problem management related to state requirements.
  • Analyzes business workflows and system needs for conversions and migrations to ensure compliance with encounter, recovery, and cost-saving regulations.
  • Prepares high-level user documentation and training materials as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of business analysis experience.
  • 4+ years of managed care experience.
  • Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the role.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-3 years of formal training in Business or Systems Analysis.

Pay Range: $21.82 - $42.55/hour. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skills.
