Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an Analyst to support forecasting and management of portfolio components, budgets, resources, outages, and schedules. The role provides analytics and reporting to Transmission Portfolio Management and Scoping & Estimating teams, ensuring accurate insights into project performance, financials, and risks.

Reporting location can be Akron, OH, Reading, PA, or Greensburg, PA. The candidate will leverage SAP, Sage, Navigator, HVK, OPPM, Ecosys, and Unifier to generate reports

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years relevant experience (7+ without degree).
• Experience with data analysis, forecasting, and process improvement.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, Oracle, or QlikView preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate financial and operational reports using Power BI, QlikView, TOAD Data Point, and MS Office.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure data integrity through regular validation and updates.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and ensure consistent processes.
• Serve as a liaison to facilitate clear communication across teams.
• Support development of concise, executive-level presentations.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights.
• Utilize systems to generate reports (SAP, Sage, Navigator, HVK, OPPM, Ecosys, Unifier).
• Identify and implement process improvements and reporting automation.
• Provide insights to support project planning, estimating, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Assist in monitoring project scope, estimates, budget, and schedule performance.
