Description

The POE Econ Team builds economic solutions to enable Selling Partner Services (and Amazon) teams to optimize Return on Investment (ROI) at the program or decision level. We develop scalable economic solutions in three key areas:

1. Impact and Perception Measurement: Measures long-term impacts of actions and initiatives, quantifies drivers of impacts to aid investment and prioritization decisions.
2. Innovation Insight Service: Estimates potential long-term impacts of new products/features based on pre-launch or short-term experimental data, aiding early-stage evaluation.
3. Impact-based Decision Optimization: Optimizes real-time decisions (e.g., enforcement, support) based on long-term impacts for diverse customers including buyers, Selling Partners, and brand owners.

We seek an experienced Business Analyst passionate about using data to solve business problems and inform decisions. You will collaborate with Economists and Scientists, contributing to high-visibility projects, and will establish best practices for data-driven analysis.

The ideal candidate loves data, analysis, and using insights to inform strategy. Responsibilities include building reports and metrics, conducting ad-hoc analyses, and communicating insights effectively. You should also be able to influence stakeholders and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Economists and Scientists in economic analysis through data retrieval, merging, and cleaning.
• Build and maintain recurring metrics and reports.
• Perform ad hoc data retrieval and analysis using relational databases, Excel, and other tools.
• Monitor existing metrics, develop new ones, and identify actionable risk signals.
• Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders via written and verbal reports.

Location: Virtual

Interview Details: Single candidate, 60-minute interview, with designated interviewers and a bar raiser, focusing on data preparation, analysis, and stakeholder influence.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with SQL
• 2+ years of Excel or Tableau experience (data manipulation, macros, charts, pivot tables)
• 2+ years in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
• Experience influencing stakeholders with data insights
